Since teens are the age group most likely to participate in such a dangerous new sporting trend, they are the group most likely to be at risk for death or serious injury.

What is Car Surfing?

Car surfing is a dangerous trend among teenagers in which one teen drives the car while another teen climbs on top of the car and tries to maintain balance while the car is in motion. According to Jessica Samakow’s article, "Car Surfing – Dangerous, Deadly …and Popular Among Teens," some teen risk takers even climb on top of their own cars to surf while leaving the driver's seat empty.
