After what seemed like a long and dreary winter here in New York City, the sun is finally starting to peak through the cement canopy, warming and slowing the previously hurried and bundled population. Located in the heart of the East Village, this tiny but quaint bar has outdoor sidewalk seating and cozy candle-lit indoor seating. Serving a small selection of sandwiches and a notable happy hour menu including excellent Caipirinhas, Bua is an East Village gem.

2. B Bar & Grill - 40 East 4th Street (and Bowery)

Once a gas station, B Bar is now filled to the brim with a wide mix of people out to enjoy the night. The inside more prone to the dressed up and trendy, those not donning their label jeans and pinstripe vests, can still find comfort in the outdoor space B Bar has to offer. Half covered like a tropical hotel bar, and half open to the elements, there is a decent amount of space to get comfortable. It does get quite crowded on beautiful summer nights, so it is best to arrive a little earlier than one might normally and stake out a table.
