This year's tournament will be no exemption, so let's break down the big chances for winning the World Cup this time around.

Australia

As has been the case in every World Cup in history, Australia, no matter how weak or how strong, will always be very strong contenders to win cricket's most coveted prize. With their recent uprise in form in the ODI series against England, the chances of the Aussies have been boosted ten fold. However there is a lot of concern with the announcement that Michael Hussy and Nathan Hauritz will both miss the tournament due to injury. This shouldn't hinder their chances, especially with the firepower of Shane Watson, Brad Haddin, and the legendary Ricky Ponting. Also the bowling stocks including, Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson, and the bolting Shaun Tait. Do not underestimate the Australians, as they have won more ICC Cricket World Cups than any other country.
